Arrival/Dismissal
The school front doors open at 8:15 am and close for the day at 4:00pm.
As the days darken and the mornings get cooler, make sure your children are dressed appropriately to wait outdoors.
For student & staff safety, please follow our Parking Lot Safety Guidelines when coming to the school.
Student Attendance
Classroom instructional time is very valuable! In order to successfully learn, students must regularly attend school and be on time! We inform our students that school is their job. As adults they will be expected to be at work each day and to be there on time.
Please make every effort to reinforce regular and prompt arrival to school.
Patterns of regular non-attendance or lateness impact learning. Parents may be contacted by phone or letter seeking support in promoting regular, prompt attendance. If your child arrives after 8:44 am they will require a late slip from the office which should then be given to the teacher.
Student Absences
Everyone is mindful of how quickly illness can spread through a class or the school and that there are times when occasional absences are unavoidable.
It is important to note that if your child is ill, keep them home. Please do not send a sick child to school hoping that they may get better. Err on the side of caution, and keep your child home to help prevent others from becoming sick.
Reporting an Absence
Please report your child's absence to the school office:

Signing Out
If during the day you must take your child out of school (i.e., Doctor/Dentist or other appointments), please send a note to school with your child and have them it give to office for processing. Parents/guardians may also sign-out their children in person at the school office. (Please note, office staff reserve the right to check parent/guardian identification prior to releasing students).
It is very important for us to know when a child has left the building/grounds. Upon returning the same day, please have your child to come to the office and sign back in.
